An Electrical Installation Condition Report (EICR) is a thorough inspection of your property's electrical systems to identify defects, deterioration and safety risks. Our EICR testing service covers every circuit, accessory and distribution board in your property using calibrated test equipment. We produce a clear, professionally presented certificate with coded observations (C1, C2, C3 and FI) and actionable recommendations for any remedial work required.

FAQ

Common Questions

How long does an EICR take?

A typical 3-bedroom domestic property takes 2 to 4 hours. Larger properties, commercial premises or properties with multiple distribution boards take longer. We can advise when you book.

What do the EICR codes mean?

C1 means danger present — risk of injury and immediate remedial action required. C2 means potentially dangerous — urgent remedial action required. C3 means improvement recommended. FI means further investigation required without delay.

Do I need to be present during the EICR?

For domestic properties we prefer the occupier or owner to be present. For tenanted properties, we can arrange access directly with tenants or managing agents.
